Juliet Lam is the recipient of the 2010 Dancer’s Choice Award for “The Regional Instructor of The Year” and “The Best Internet Video Teacher of The Year”.
Juliet was born and raised in Taiwan, Republic of China. Presently, she is residing in Richardson (a city adjacent to Dallas), Texas, USA. She is married with two sons and two beautiful grandchildren.
Dancing has always been her passion. She was introduced to line dancing 8 years ago at a party and quickly developed a great passion and addiction for it. She has been line dancing ever since. She thinks line dancing is a good exercise for both the body and mind.
She has been teaching line dance at the Dallas Chinese Community Center for more than 4 years. She often encourages her students to keep on happy dancing—“If you can walk, you can dance”. “You don’t stop dancing when you get old. You get old when you stop dancing!” Her unique teaching style and unlimited caring towards students has soon earned her popularity. She has been invited to teach at various Workshops in Taiwan and Canada the past few years.
She began choreographing in October, 2008. Many of her dances, such as “A Lady In Blue”, “Blue Spanish Eyes”, “Come Back My Love”, “Cha Cha Amor”, “Acky Breaky Heart”, “EZ Waltz”, “A Touch Of Rumba”, “Busted Windows”, “1 Minute Please”….are enjoyed among the line dance groups. Her dance “Achy Breaky Heart” has been selected in the American (Country) category from among hundreds of possibilities for “A Time To Celebrate The Dances Of Many Diverse Cultures For New Year / 2011”. Her video of this dance has had over 327,000 hits so far.
Many of you have viewed her teaching videos. She usually demo the dance followed by a detailed step by step instructions. Her demo group plays a huge part in her videos. She enjoyed youtube following of more than 2,800 subscribers. She has made many friends through her teaching channels, that’s the real prize she will forever treasure.
